- The Little Workshop will be held in Central Virginia, 20 minutes south of Petersburg just off of i-95 at a private residence surrounded by fields and forests. We are so thankful to Kristin Partin Lewis for hosting us at The Lewis Homestead!
- Winner will be announced Monday, September 29th, 2014. Prize valid for one seat only at the November 2nd, 2014 Little Workshop and is non-transferable to future workshops or persons. Winners are responsible for their own travel & lodging.

Would LOVE to be a part of a workshop with the two of you! I think the biggest element for me would be your incorporation of film into the business as I currently shoot with my Mamiya, but only as a hobbyist. Of course would also love to hear more about your branding journey and how you made the full time push a successful one. And you guys just rock. You both seem so grounded and just have amazing spirits!!! SO excited to see that you are hosting this and would be honored to meet y’all!

This year I decided to move my photography business towards wedding photography. Over the course of the past year I have also started to play around with film and have invested in a Nikon F6, as well as two other film cameras. I loved it so much that I have started to change up my editing style to resemble more of a film look. Once I started to make these changes I came across your Facebook business page and absolutely fell in love with what I was seeing!!! The list of thing that I know I could learn from a workshop like this are endless! I can only hope (and cross my fingers and toes, and say lots and lots of prayers) that I would be the one to fill this seat. BUT if I’m not…I know whoever does will end up being one LUCKY person and walk away with a whole new toolkit to tackle their wedding business!!!

I’m totally entering this! Haha. I mostly am eager to learn about how to price photography (wedding collections and portrait sessions alike) when you shoot film. I also want to learn (in general) how to manage the cost of film when running a business. Plus I’d get to hang out with you two which would be saweet! 😉

So as you know, I’ve been a HUGE fan for a long time. I would love to have the chance to meet the two of you, learn from the two of you and further my business! I would have already bought my own seat if I hadn’t spent all of my 2014 workshop budget before I found this workshop! And one huge thing I’ve learned is that running a business as a business is an important part of getting where you want to be. Sometimes it’s hard to learn self-control when it comes to budgeting and spending money! Hello Michael and Carina! Your work is so beautiful, fresh, and inspiring! I have always loved photography and am hoping to go full time at the start of 2015. I would like to step my business up a notch and so at this workshop I would love to learn about natural posing, how to stay on top of rolling film while also shooting digitally, how to be consistent with branding, and also to meet the both of you!

Ahh! I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to attend this workshop due to finances & having already invested a lot previously this year… but now all of that can change! I have been on a journey to find that the fine art style is where my soul longs to be. It aches for meaning & to be successful in telling a story that evokes the emotion & passion in a moment. Thank you for the opportunity to enter & my hope is that if I am able to attend, I can not only better myself as an artist and grow my abilities, but meet other photographers who I can relate to & grow our community together!

First of all, I so respect people that can shoot film! With that being said, I haven’t ever done it. But I love learning new styles and new ways of posing, lighting, etc. If you aren’t learning something new everyday then you aren’t growing! As photographers(as people) we all should continue to grow and learn and be better. I believe that your workshop would give me an opportunity to do that. You two have amazing work and I love seeing it pop up in my newsfeed!
