Yea-Wen just got married about a month ago. But in hurry of her wedding and with the short time she had (January days are short!) there was no time for bridal portraits. And let’s be honest, which bride does not like to grab a chance to put on her wedding dress again?
We met in Colonial Williamsburg, one of our favorite places for photo shoots. The buildings and roads tell stories from hundreds of years ago and the atmosphere is just lovely.
She loves architecture and history, so this was really the perfect place for her bridal portraits.
As soon as we saw Yea-Wen we could already see the pictures in our minds; Alice, an amazing hair stylist and German friend of ours (http://www.hairbyalice.com/) had done an amazing job on her hair and makeup artist Theresa (http://www.theresa-little.com/) knew how to work her magic.
The bouquet was put together by Yea-Wen herself (it was her first try, can you believe that?).
“How’d you do that?”
“Youtube!”
Well, if her job as an engineer ever gets old, she probably would have a promising future as a florist…
Yea-Wen had the most beautiful smile. She felt confident in front of the camera and struck beautiful poses – a natural. We had a great afternoon together and by it almost felt as if we were shooting with a dear friend.
We are so happy Yea-Wen will have these bridal portraits to show her husband Doug, and one day her children. You can really see her happiness in her eyes.
