Their Williamsburg elopement – December 2012
Pilar and Jarad have been inseparable for 8 years.
They love adventures, they love having fun with friends and they travel all over the world.
They are also full of surprises.
Almost exactly one year ago they contacted us with a special request: to shoot their surprise elopement in Williamsburg. Despite the fact that it was December, it was beautiful weather and we were all having a great time together exploring and shooting in Colonial Williamsburg. It was a very intimate and sweet elopement. They surprised their family with the photos afterwards :)
This year, after being married for one year, Pilar and Jarad wanted to include all their friends and family in the celebration at a vow renewal on their first anniversary.
They picked the beautiful Piedmont Club in Northern Virginia as their wedding venue.
There were world globes, maps and old photographs everywhere – it was perfect. They put so much thought and love into it. The decorations really told Pilar and Jarad’s love story. Plus, the two are just incredibly stylish. Check out Pilar’s wedding dress(es!!!) and you’ll see what I mean!
Everybody was excited to celebrate their love. There was laughter, tears and lots of hugs. It was not as intimate as their elopement, yet it was still so personal.
What we love most about Pilar and Jarad is how they combine their love with their love for adventure. They have so much fun together, they keep it fresh. My goodness, when we looked through those pictures, we had tears in our eyes, because you can not only see but FEEL the love in each other’s eyes and their awesome sassy-ness. After being together for almost a decade, these two are just crazy about each other. And that is what makes us so excited.
There IS true love. And it’s not just a word or something you believe in but you can see it. You can feel it. True love is Pilar and Jarad.
