Cody and Marissa are still a year or two out from planning their wedding.
That didn’t stop Cody from wanting to surprise his new fiancee with one of the sweetest gifts for Valentine’s Day.
Their engagement session.
Cody had already contacted Williamsburg Regional Library and received permission to shoot there before he reached out to us with the idea.
The Williamsburg Library is Marissa’s favorite. She’s currently studying literature and has an intense love of books.
The rules were: to be quiet (of course, it’s a library!) and don’t use flash.
Originally we intended to shoot inside for just 10 or 15 minutes, but the weather had other plans.
Pouring rain kept us inside for most of the shoot, but we still ventured outside in the rain for a shot on the Crim Dell Bridge.

Cody totally gets an A+ for setting this up as a gift! How cute! I love how their personalities shine and you were so creative in your use of the library. And that ring shot makes me swoon! 🙂

Wow! Way to make the most of the circumstance! That last picture on the bridge is incredible. The frozen raindrops, the slight non-obstructive lens flair, and the lighting make this picture stunning. Great job!
